Program Description

Event Details

Learn the basics of babysitting with Iowa State University Extension and Outreach of Dallas County. Students in grades 6-8 will learn about child ages and stages, safety, fun activities, how to handle emotions and injury, and how to start a babysitting business. Each participant will leave with their own babysitting bag, binder, first aid kit, and certificate of completion. This is a 6-hour training; participants are required to bring their own sack lunch and water. Two dates available - registration required.  

Thursday, March 20 and Thursday, June 12 9:30 am -3:30 pm.

Children and teens aged 6 and older may be left unattended at library activities, however we encourage parents to attend with children who may need additional assistance with the activity.
