One hundred years ago the United States was under the Prohibition laws of the 1920s, but that didn’t necessarily keep everyone from having a drink. Iowa was filled with bootleggers and illegal whiskey stills. Ann Hanigan-Kotz will present information about prohibition and bootleggers in Central Iowa which she found through her research for her book, Moonshine by Moonlight.
